The winter festival, “Un Ai Rak Khlay Khwam Nao” (Love and Warmth at Winter’s End), will be organized for the second time at the Royal Plaza in Bangkok, from 9th December 2018 to 19th January 2019. Entry to the venue is free of charge; the event will be open from 10:30am to 9:00pm on Sunday to Thursday, and from 10:30am to 10:00pm on Friday and Saturday.
The event will showcase three fascinating zones. (1) At the Royal Plaza, the area will feature an exhibition of King Rama V and King Rama IX, beautifully decorated with the architectural styles that existed during the reigns of King Rama V and King Rama IX. In addition, visitors can also experience flora and fountain gardening, as well as royal Thai arts and inventions. (2) Sanam Suea Pa will showcase various royal and renowned shop booths inside, such as Volunteers 904, Phufa, Friends in Need (of “PA”) Volunteers Foundation, Royal Project Foundation, Armed Forces Wives Shop, and others, including remarkable local cultural performances and an outdoor cinema. (3) And the food stalls and shops zone will feature an atmosphere with the theme of “Under the Royal Protection, to Maintain the Community and Thainess,” showcasing countless examples of regional Thai cuisine, local art and culture demonstrations, as well as a “retro photography studio.”
Moreover, within the event, sellers are supposed to be dressed in traditional Thai costumes, so, if any visitors are interested in joining the event, dressing in traditional Thai costumes or appropriate dressing will, therefore, be appreciated. The income collected from the event will later be spent to help people in need nationwide under the royal charity, various royal projects, and other activities.
