Conrad Centennial Singapore today announced the appointment of

Timothy Tan as Director of Business Development. At Conrad Centennial Singapore, Tan will lead efforts

to increase revenue, individual and group reservations as well as event sales through new business and

the expansion of existing partnerships. He will also provide guidance for local marketing initiatives. Tan

will report to Heinrich Grafe, General Manager of Conrad Centennial Singapore.

Tan returns to his native Singapore from Macao where he has held the position of Director of Sales for

Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel, Cotai Central and The St. Regis Macao, Cotai Central. He opened St.

Regis Macao, and oversaw the Sales teams in Macao, Hong Kong and China. He was also responsible

for driving sales to both properties at the Sands Cotai Central complex on the Cotai Strip.

Throughout his two-decade career, Tan has garnered extensive experience in the travel and tourism

industry, having worked with major hotel companies and tour operators in Singapore and Australia. From

2010 to 2015, he was Regional Director of Sales – Southeast Asia for the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group,

where he was responsible for looking after global accounts for the corporate and leisure segments in

Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and India.

Tan has worked extensively with key corporate and MICE planners, and was also responsible for growing

the luxury segment to build a strong base of key travel partners catering to affluent travelers. In 2008, he

joined Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific as Director of Sales, where he managed key accounts for hotels

across Asia Pacific. Prior to that, he served as Business Development Manager for HPL Hotels

Resorts Pte Ltd., overseeing the sales and marketing strategies for the hotel group.
