Throughout March, Phetchaburi has a number of events in the pipeline to entertain visitors.

Summer has arrived and Phetchaburi’s famous beach, Cha-Am, will turn vibrant. However, the province has much more to offer.

It starts from amazing sculptures made of salt, or Art of Salt, in Ban Laem district. From March 16-18, the salt farms will be transformed into an outdoor gallery with a number of statues made of salt on display. Moreover, visitors can visit the local salt museum and shop for local products.

The event starts from 4pm onwards at the 41km marker of Sor Sor 2021 Road.

Tha Yang district will organise its annual event from March 16-25 on To Road and the football field. The event will feature various activities, namely workshops for basketry, kites and traditional ceremonies. The fair has outlets including local specialities, live music, Thai traditional music and local performance.

The biggest event will be “Phetchaburi Dee Jung” to be held from March 17-18 in the centre of Phetchaburi town. It will be packed with activities that allow visitors to learn more about this lovely province.

There will be a number of short trips to explore different communities and enclaves such as Klong Krachaeng community, Phetchaburi Old Town, street art around the town, and the riverside market. The day trip will be conducted by local young people.

Moreover, the river tour to explore beautiful temples and the lively old quarter will be available. As Phetchaburi is famed for its local desserts, a dessert workshop will be held.

The evening will feature storytelling and musical performances.

At dawn on March 18, the beach of Cha-Am will turn lively with Singha Cha-Am Bikini Beach Marathon, when hundreds of runners arrive in colourful colours for the morning run. The cheerful event will take place on the beach in front of Long Beach Hotel.

The month of events will wrap with Sunset Beach Music Festival 2018 Thailand to be held on the last day of March at Platoo Restaurant, by the beach of Cha-Am, from 1pm till 1am of the next day.

Famous singers and bands to entertain the audience include T-Bone, Job 2 Do, Singto Numchok and Srirajah Rockers. Tickets are priced 779 baht and are available at 7-Eleven convenience stores until March 30.
