The St. Regis New York is delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Arnao as Executive Chef. Boasting extensive knowledge of the culinary hospitality industry, Chef Arnao brings a wealth of experience to his new role at the beloved flagship property where he will oversee the culinary direction for the hotel, including its Astor Court restaurant and the famed King Cole Bar.
Chef Arnao’s interest in the culinary arts began at the age of nine when he visited a local Italian restaurant in his hometown of Philadelphia. He was taken under the wing of its executive chef, where he developed a deep appreciation for the culinary industry. Chef Arnao’s professional career started in 1993 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Society Hill, where he created seasonal menus and learned the intricacies of each station within the kitchen. Chef Arnao then moved to The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia where he led the team and implemented new service standards. Chef Arnao most recently served as Executive Chef of The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park followed by the Westchester Country Club. In his new role, Chef Arnao will oversee the culinary operations at the hotel and elevate the dining experience for guests and locals alike.
