Thai media has been reporting on a local bread shop, in the China town area of Thailand’s northern city of Chiangmai, which has created dog shaped donut style treats to welcome in the Chinese lunar year of the dog. Fifty two year old Samrit Mahapham, the shop’s owner, said ‘doggy donuts’ are very popular among the children, and have also tempted some Chinese tourists to sample the treat. Dragon shaped donuts have also been created to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
