Capstone Property Group, LLC, McKibbon Places and McKibbon Hospitality recently celebrated the official groundbreaking of the Courtyard by Marriott Gainesville, Georgia on Monday, December 6. The 130-room select-service hotel is set to anchor the highly anticipated mixed-use development, The National – a revival and redevelopment of Gainesville’s long-vacant First National Bank building, whi ch also broke ground during the event. Both the hotel and The National are anticipated to open in mid-2023. Capstone Property Group, LLC purchased the iconic First National Bank building from investment group, 111 Green Street, LLC in 2019 with the intent to convert the building into a 50-room hotel.
